With recent bills aiming to limit discussions of gender and sexual diversity in U.S. schools and abroad, it is essential that educators cultivate classrooms that are inclusive of LGBTQIA+ students' identities and trouble cisnormativity and heteronormativity. This presentation will center on how educators can introduce the insights of queer theories and pedagogies into their practice to upend the status quo in their classrooms.
