Finding a Babysitter: Developing a Task-Based Unit


This webinar will provide an overview of Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT), highlighting some of the features that distinguish it from other language teaching approaches. After outlining the stages involved in the design, implementation, and evaluation of a TBLT course, the talk will discuss how to develop TBLT-based pedagogical materials by describing a series of pedagogic tasks designed to teach the target task of finding a babysitter. This talk is of interest to graduate students and educators in TESOL or related areas, curriculum designers, and materials writers.
